1. Each person is provided with a device that will automatically turn on when the person enters into the designated area. Each device is unique to the user. Through the use of a Bluetooth ID number, wearers are not required to provide personal information.
2. The TraceSCAN wearable communicates via Bluetooth with each device it encounters and tracks the duration and proximity of each interaction.
3. The data collected is transferred to an onsite gateway and subsequently sent to the Microsoft Azure cloud where it is securely stored to be accessed and retrieved by business administrators in the event of an infection.
4. Once warning of an infection is received by the administrator, notifications can be immediately sent to individuals at highest risk to isolate.
